# Privacy Policy **Last Updated:** July 29, 2026 Voice Transcription - Deaf is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application. --- ## Privacy-First Approach — Everything Stays on Your Device Voice Transcription - Deaf is built around a simple idea: your conversations belong to you. Every transcript you create, every saved session, and every language preference is stored locally on your device and, if you choose, in your own personal iCloud account. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not maintain a server-side database of your transcripts. You do not need to sign up, log in, or hand over an email address to use Voice Transcription - Deaf. Nobody at Voice Transcription - Deaf can browse, read, or retrieve the conversations you transcribe. --- ## Information We Process ### Audio and Speech Input Voice Transcription - Deaf uses your device's microphone to capture speech while a transcription session is active. Audio is captured only while you have a session running, and only after you have granted microphone permission through your device's system prompt. Audio is processed to convert speech into readable text. It is not recorded into a permanent audio library, and it is not used to build a voice profile, identify a speaker, or train any model. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device settings. If you do, live transcription stops working, but your saved transcripts remain on your device. ### Face Data (Clarification) Voice Transcription - Deaf does not intentionally collect, process, or store any facial recognition or biometric data. The app is designed exclusively for converting spoken audio into readable text from user-submitted speech input. Voice Transcription - Deaf does not use your device's camera and does not request camera access. Should any image or media ever be submitted to the app, it would be processed only for the purpose of speech transcription, and no facial recognition or biometric analysis is performed. Any data transmitted to third-party speech recognition and AI services is sent solely to generate transcription results and is not retained by Voice Transcription - Deaf. We do not store or use face data for any purpose. ### Transcripts and Results The text produced by Voice Transcription - Deaf — your live captions and saved transcript history — is generated on demand and stored on your device. Transcripts are yours to keep, edit, share, or delete. ### Transcript History If you save a session, Voice Transcription - Deaf keeps a record of it so you can scroll back and review what was said. This history lives in the app's local storage on your device and is included in your iCloud backup if iCloud is enabled. ### Language Preferences Voice Transcription - Deaf stores the language or dialect you select so the app can use the right recognition model. This is a simple setting stored on your device and is not linked to you personally. ### Information We Do Not Collect We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or payment card details. Subscription payments are handled entirely by Apple, and we never see your payment information. --- ## How We Use Your Information ### To Provide Our Services Speech captured during a session is transmitted temporarily to third-party speech recognition and AI processing services for the sole purpose of converting it into text. This processing is transient: the audio is used to generate your transcript and is not retained by Voice Transcription - Deaf afterward. Nothing you transcribe is used for advertising, profiling, or resale. ### Usage Data Voice Transcription - Deaf may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics — such as which features are opened, crash reports, and general performance metrics — to help us fix bugs and improve accessibility. This data contains no personal information and no transcript content. It cannot be traced back to you or to any conversation you have transcribed. --- ## Data Storage All personal data created in Voice Transcription - Deaf — transcripts, session history, and settings — is stored on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, this data may also be included in your personal iCloud backup, which is controlled by your Apple ID and governed by Apple's own privacy terms. Voice Transcription - Deaf does not store your transcripts on our own servers. --- ## Third-Party Services ### AI and Speech Processing Voice Transcription - Deaf relies on third-party speech recognition and AI services to convert audio into text quickly and accurately across 100 languages and dialects. Audio is transmitted to these services only while a transcription session is active, and only for the purpose of producing your transcript. These providers process the data on a temporary basis and operate under their own privacy policies. ### Analytics We use analytics tools that collect anonymous usage data only. No transcript content, no audio, and no personally identifying information is shared with analytics providers. --- ## Your Data Control ### Complete Control You can delete any transcript, any saved session, or your entire history at any time from within Voice Transcription - Deaf. Deleting the app from your device removes its locally stored data. Deletion is immediate and permanent on your device. ### iCloud Sync If iCloud is enabled on your device, your Voice Transcription - Deaf data may sync across devices signed in to the same Apple ID and be included in your iCloud backup. This sync happens within your own Apple account — we have no access to it. You can turn it off at any time in your device settings under your Apple ID, then iCloud, then App Data. ### Data Portability Your transcripts are yours. You can copy, export, or share any transcript with friends, family, teachers, doctors, or coworkers through your device's standard sharing options at any time. --- ## Data Security Because your Voice Transcription - Deaf data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account, its security depends on the security of that device and that account. We recommend enabling a device passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, using a strong and unique Apple ID password, and turning on two-factor authentication for your Apple ID. Data transmitted to speech recognition services during a session is sent over encrypted connections. --- ## Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Voice Transcription - Deaf or to our practices. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Voice Transcription - Deaf after an update means you accept the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically. --- ## Contact Us If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or about how Voice Transcription - Deaf handles your information, please reach out to us here: https://forms.fillout.com/t/nASPtA7NzHus
