Crystal Identifier: Crystalens is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Crystal Identifier: Crystalens takes a privacy-first approach. Your photos, identification results, and collection history are stored locally on your device and, if you enable it, in your personal iCloud account. We do not maintain a central database of your personal content.

INFORMATION WE PROCESS

Photos/Images
When you take or upload a photo of a crystal, rock, gemstone, or mineral, that image is used to generate an identification and appraisal result. Photos are stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account, not on our servers.

Face Data (Clarification)
Crystal Identifier: Crystalens does not intentionally collect, process, or store any facial recognition or biometric data. The app is designed exclusively for identifying and appraising crystals, rocks, minerals, and gemstones from user-submitted images.
Users may submit any image, including those that could contain human faces. In such cases, images are processed only for the purpose of identifying and appraising crystals, rocks, minerals, and gemstones, and no facial recognition or biometric analysis is performed.
Images are temporarily transmitted to third-party AI services solely to generate identification and appraisal results and are not retained by Crystal Identifier: Crystalens. We do not store or use face data for any purpose.

Results/Analysis
Identification results, mineral type, rarity information, and appraisal/value estimates generated for your photos are stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account.

Chat Conversations
If you use the AI chat feature to ask follow-up questions about a crystal, rock, or gemstone, those conversations are processed to generate responses and stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account.

Language Preferences
Your selected app language is stored locally on your device to display the app in your preferred language.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

To Provide Our Services
Your photos and questions are temporarily processed through third-party AI services to generate identification results, appraisal estimates, and chat responses. This processing is temporary and solely for the purpose of delivering these features to you.

Usage Data
We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (such as which features are used) to help us improve the app. This data does not identify you personally.

DATA STORAGE
All personal data, including your photos, identification history, and chat conversations, is stored on your device and, if enabled, backed up to your personal iCloud account. We do not store this data on our own servers.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

AI Processing
Crystal Identifier: Crystalens uses third-party AI services to analyze photos and generate identification, appraisal, and chat results. Images and questions are transmitted temporarily for this purpose only and are not retained by these services beyond what is necessary to generate your results.

Analytics
We may use third-party analytics services to collect anonymous usage data that helps us understand how the app is used and improve it. This data is not tied to your personal identity.

YOUR DATA CONTROL

Complete Control
You can delete your photos, identification history, and chat conversations at any time directly within the app.

iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your data is backed up to your personal iCloud account and synced across your devices. You can disable this at any time in your device's iCloud settings.

Data Portability
You can export or share your identification results and collection with others directly from the app.

DATA SECURITY
The security of your data depends in part on the security of your device and your personal iCloud account. We recommend using a strong device passcode and a strong, unique password for your iCloud account to help protect your information.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
