GST Calculator is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

**Privacy-First Approach / Everything Stays on Your Device**
GST Calculator is built to run entirely offline. All calculations, tape history, settings, and saved sessions are stored locally on your device and, if iCloud sync is enabled, in your personal iCloud account. We do not operate servers that receive or store your calculation data, and the app makes no network calls.

**Information We Process**

Results/Analysis
GST Calculator processes the numbers you enter — amounts, operators, and GST rates — to produce running tape entries, session totals (Exclusive, GST, Inclusive), markup/margin results, and saved history. This data is generated and stored entirely on your device.

Face Data (Clarification)
GST Calculator does not intentionally collect, process, or store any facial recognition or biometric data. The app is designed exclusively for performing GST and general arithmetic calculations entered manually by the user; it does not accept photo or camera input of any kind.
Users may submit any image, including those that could contain human faces. In such cases, images are processed only for the purpose of general app functionality and no facial recognition or biometric analysis is performed.
Images are temporarily transmitted to third-party AI services solely to generate identification results and are not retained by GST Calculator. We do not store or use face data for any purpose.

Settings and Preferences
Your default GST rate, quick-rate key values, decimal and rounding preferences, theme, and other settings are stored locally on your device.

History
Saved calculation sessions, including pinned sessions and tape contents, are stored locally on your device according to the retention period you select in Settings.

**How We Use Your Information**

To Provide Our Services
All processing — GST calculations, tape rendering, history storage, and search — happens locally on your device to deliver the app's core functionality. No calculation data is sent to us or to any third party for this purpose.

Usage Data
We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (such as feature usage frequency) to help us improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

**Data Storage**
All personal data generated by GST Calculator — including tape history, saved sessions, and settings — is stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, backed up to your personal iCloud account under your control.

**Third-Party Services**

AI Processing
GST Calculator does not use third-party AI services to perform its core GST or arithmetic calculations, as all such processing is done locally on your device.

Analytics
Any analytics collected are anonymous and aggregated, and are not linked to your identity or your calculation data.

**Your Data Control**

Complete Control
You can delete individual sessions, clear your entire tape and history, or reset all settings at any time from within the app.

iCloud Sync
If enabled, your data syncs across your devices via your personal iCloud account. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in your device or app settings, which stops future syncing without deleting data already stored on your device.

Data Portability
You can export or share individual tape sessions as text or image files at any time using the app's share feature.

**Data Security**
Because your data is stored locally on your device and, optionally, in your personal iCloud account, its security depends on the security of your device and Apple ID. We recommend using a device passcode, biometric lock, and a strong, unique Apple ID password to protect your information.

**Changes to This Privacy Policy**
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
