Ryse is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

## Privacy-First Approach — Everything Stays on Your Device

Ryse is built so your personal data stays with you. Your alarms, missions, wake history, streaks, badges, and settings are stored locally on your device and in your own personal iCloud account. We do not maintain user accounts, and we do not keep a copy of your alarm history or your photos on our servers.

## Information We Process

### Photos and Camera Images
Some Ryse missions ask you to photograph a specific subject — a pet, a toothbrush, a made bed — to prove you are awake and turn off your alarm. Photos are captured live in the app and used only to check whether the requested subject is present. A photo is sent for analysis at the moment you take it, and it is not saved to a photo library or kept by us afterwards.

### Face Data (Clarification)
Ryse does not intentionally collect, process, or store any facial recognition or biometric data. The app is designed exclusively for verifying wake-up mission photos and spoken phrases from user-submitted images and audio.

Users may submit any image, including those that could contain human faces. In such cases, images are processed only for the purpose of confirming that the requested mission subject appears in the photo, and no facial recognition or biometric analysis is performed.

Images are temporarily transmitted to third-party AI services solely to generate verification results and are not retained by Ryse. We do not store or use face data for any purpose.

### Voice and Audio
Speech missions ask you to read a verse or an affirmation aloud. Ryse transcribes your speech on your device first, and only when the on-device result is unclear is a short audio clip sent for a second check. Audio is used only to judge whether you read the text correctly, and it is not stored by us or used to build a voice profile.

### Motion and Proximity Data
The push-up mission uses your device's proximity and motion sensors to count repetitions. This data is processed on your device in real time and is never transmitted or stored.

### Mission Results and Wake Records
Each completed or dismissed alarm creates a wake record — the time, the mission you used, how long it took, and whether you passed. These records power your streaks, stats, and consistency insights, and they stay on your device and in your iCloud backup.

### Alarm and App Settings
Your alarm times, repeat days, sounds, snooze preferences, and mission configurations are stored locally on your device.

### Subscription Status
If you subscribe to Ryse Pro, your purchase is handled by Apple and your subscription status is managed through our subscription provider so the app knows which features to unlock. We do not receive or store your payment details.

## How We Use Your Information

### To Provide Our Services
Photos and, occasionally, short audio clips are transmitted temporarily to third-party AI services for the sole purpose of verifying that you completed your mission. This processing happens at the moment of verification and produces a simple pass or fail result that is returned to your device.

### Usage Data
We collect anonymous usage statistics — such as which missions are used, whether alarms are completed or dismissed, and how features perform — to understand how Ryse is used and to improve it. This data is not tied to your identity and does not include your photos, audio, or alarm content.

## Data Storage

All of your personal data is stored on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, backed up to your personal iCloud account. Ryse does not operate user accounts or store your alarm history on our servers.

## Third-Party Services

### AI Processing
Ryse uses third-party AI services to verify mission photos and, in ambiguous cases, spoken phrases. Data sent to these services is processed temporarily for verification only and is not retained by Ryse.

### Analytics
Ryse uses an analytics service to collect anonymous usage data. No personal data, photos, audio, or alarm content is included.

### Subscriptions
Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store, and subscription status is managed through a third-party subscription service.

## Your Data Control

### Complete Control
You can delete individual alarms and wake records at any time, or use the delete-all-data option in Settings to clear everything Ryse has stored. Deleting the app removes all local data from your device.

### iCloud Sync
If iCloud is enabled, your alarms and wake history sync across your devices through your personal iCloud account. You can turn this off at any time in your device's iCloud settings.

### Data Portability
You can view and share your stats, streaks, and wake history directly from the app.

### Permissions
Ryse asks for permission to schedule alarms, use your camera, use your microphone, and use motion sensors. Each permission is used only for the feature it supports, and you can change these at any time in your device settings. Some missions will not work without their related permission.

## Data Security

The security of your data depends on the security of your device and your iCloud account. We recommend using a device passcode and a strong, unique password for your Apple Account.

## Children's Privacy

Ryse is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

## Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Ryse after an update means you accept the revised policy.
