By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS By accessing or using Antique Identifier, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE Antique Identifier uses AI to identify antiques and collectible objects, such as furniture, coins, pottery, silverware, clocks, glassware, militaria, toys, books, and fine art, from photos you take or upload. The app provides estimated market values, rarity notes, background information on materials and origin, an AI chat for follow-up questions, and a personal collection history of your identified items. USE OF SERVICE License We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Antique Identifier for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. Acceptable Use You agree not to: - Use the app for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law. - Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app. - Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others when submitting content. - Upload or transmit harmful, abusive, or illegal content. - Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the app or its underlying services. - Use the app for unauthorized commercial purposes, such as reselling identification results at scale. AI-GENERATED INFORMATION Estimates and Analysis All identifications, age estimates, origin information, rarity notes, and market value estimates provided by Antique Identifier are generated by AI and are provided for informational and educational purposes only. Not Professional Advice Antique Identifier does not provide professional appraisal, authentication, valuation, or investment advice. Results should not be relied upon for insurance purposes, formal appraisals, tax filings, legal proceedings, or any purchase or sale decision involving significant value. Accuracy Disclaimer We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any identification, age estimate, origin information, or market value estimate provided by the app. Consult Professionals For official valuations, authentication, insurance documentation, or before making a significant purchase or sale, please consult a qualified, licensed antique appraiser or auction specialist. USER CONTENT Your Photos/Data You retain all rights to the photos and content you submit. By using the app, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process your content solely to provide identification, valuation, and chat features. Storage Your photos, results, and chat history are stored locally on your device and, if you enable it, in your personal iCloud account. Face Data (Clarification) Antique Identifier does not intentionally collect, process, or store any facial recognition or biometric data. The service is designed solely for identifying antiques and estimating their market value from user-submitted images. Users may submit images that incidentally contain human faces. In such cases, images are processed only for the purpose of identifying and valuing the antique object shown. No facial recognition or biometric analysis is performed, and no face data is extracted or used. Images may be transmitted to third-party AI services for processing. This processing is temporary and solely for generating identification results. Antique Identifier does not retain or store face data. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY App Ownership Antique Identifier, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Trademarks The Antique Identifier name and logo are trademarks and may not be used without our prior written permission. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES Antique Identifier uses third-party AI services to process images and generate results. Your use of these AI-powered features is also subject to the applicable third-party providers' terms. PAYMENTS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS In-App Purchases Subscriptions and other purchases within Antique Identifier are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Refunds Refund requests are handled according to Apple's refund policies, not directly by us. Price Changes We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing at any time, with notice provided in accordance with Apple's guidelines. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY No Warranties Antique Identifier is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Limitation of Damages To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. Maximum Liability Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim. INDEMNIFICATION You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Antique Identifier and its owners, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these Terms. TERMINATION We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Antique Identifier at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the app and delete it from your device at any time. CHANGES TO TERMS We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. GOVERNING LAW These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law principles. SEVERABILITY If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
