Antique Identifier is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

Antique Identifier is built with a privacy-first approach. Your photos, identification results, and collection history are stored locally on your device and, if you choose to enable it, in your personal iCloud account. We do not maintain a central database of your personal data on our own servers.

INFORMATION WE PROCESS

Photos/Images
When you take or upload a photo of an antique, furniture piece, coin, or other object, that image is used to generate an identification and market value estimate. Images are processed to detect materials, maker's marks, style, and condition.

Face Data (Clarification)
Antique Identifier does not intentionally collect, process, or store any facial recognition or biometric data. The app is designed exclusively for identifying antiques and estimating their market value from user-submitted images.
Users may submit any image, including those that could contain human faces. In such cases, images are processed only for the purpose of identifying and valuing the antique object shown, and no facial recognition or biometric analysis is performed.
Images are temporarily transmitted to third-party AI services solely to generate identification results and are not retained by Antique Identifier. We do not store or use face data for any purpose.

Results/Analysis
We process the identification results generated for each item you scan, including material type, estimated age, origin, rarity notes, and estimated market value. These results are stored locally on your device (and in iCloud, if enabled) so you can review them later.

Chat Conversations
If you ask our AI appraisal chat a question about a piece, your question and the corresponding photo or result may be processed to generate a helpful answer. Chat conversations are stored locally on your device alongside the related item.

Language Preferences
We process your selected app language so that identification results, chat responses, and the app interface are shown in your preferred language.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

To Provide Our Services
Your photos and related data are temporarily processed through third-party AI services to generate identification results, value estimates, and chat responses. This processing happens only to deliver the feature you requested and is not used for any other purpose.

Usage Data
We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (such as how often features are used) to help us improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

DATA STORAGE

All personal data generated by Antique Identifier, including photos, results, and chat history, is stored on your device and, if enabled, synced through your personal iCloud account. We do not operate a separate server-side database of your personal content.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

AI Processing
Antique Identifier uses third-party AI services to analyze images and generate identification and valuation results. Images and related data are transmitted temporarily for this purpose only and are not retained by these services beyond what is needed to return a result to you.

Analytics
We may use third-party analytics tools to collect anonymous usage data that helps us understand how the app is used and where it can be improved. This data does not include your photos or identification results.

YOUR DATA CONTROL

Complete Control
You can delete any photo, result, or chat conversation from your collection at any time directly within the app.

iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your data is backed up to your personal iCloud account and made available across your devices. You can disable this at any time in your device's iCloud settings.

Data Portability
You can export or share your identification results and collection with others, such as family members or professional appraisers, directly from the app.

DATA SECURITY

Because your data is stored on your device and your personal iCloud account, its security depends on the security of your device and iCloud account. We recommend using a strong device passcode and a strong, unique iCloud password, and enabling two-factor authentication where available.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or regulatory reasons. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
