Stamp Identifier: Stamps is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

**Everything Stays on Your Device**

Stamp Identifier: Stamps is built with a privacy-first approach. Your stamp photos, identification results, collection data, and chat conversations are stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not maintain servers that store your personal data. Your stamp collection remains yours — private, secure, and under your control at all times.

**Information We Process**

**Photos and Images**
When you use Stamp Identifier: Stamps to identify a stamp, you take or select a photo from your device. These images are temporarily sent to our AI processing service for analysis. The photos are processed in real time and are not permanently stored on any external server. Once identification is complete, the image data is discarded from the processing service.

**Identification Results and Analysis**
Stamp Identifier: Stamps generates detailed identification results including catalog identification, dating and age, market valuation, rarity significance, origin and provenance, physical characteristics, condition assessment, perforation gauge, watermark details, color variations, and error or variant detection. All of these results are stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account. They are not stored on our servers.

**Chat Conversations**
When you use the AI stamp expert chat feature to ask questions about your stamps, your messages and the AI responses are stored locally on your device. Your chat messages are sent to our AI service for processing and are not permanently retained on external servers after the response is generated.

**Language Preferences**
Your selected language preference is stored locally on your device. This information is not transmitted to any external server.

**Collection Data**
Your saved stamp collection, including photos, identification history, and any organizational categories you create (by country, era, value, or custom categories), is stored entirely on your device and your personal iCloud account.

**How We Use Your Information**

**To Provide Our Services**
Photos and chat messages are temporarily processed through third-party AI services solely to deliver stamp identification, valuation estimates, authenticity assessments, and expert answers. This processing occurs in real time, and your data is not retained by the AI service after the response is delivered.

**Usage Data**
We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics such as how often certain features are used or general app performance data. This data contains no personal information, no photos, no identification results, and no chat content. It is used solely to improve Stamp Identifier: Stamps.

**Data Storage**

All personal data — including your stamp photos, identification results, chat history, and collection library — is stored on your device and backed up through your personal iCloud account if you have iCloud enabled. Stamp Identifier: Stamps does not operate external databases that hold your personal information. Your data exists only where you control it.

**Third-Party Services**

**AI Processing**
Stamp Identifier: Stamps uses third-party AI services to analyze stamp images and generate identification results, valuations, and chat responses. Photos and text are sent to these services temporarily for processing. These services do not permanently store your images or conversations. We select AI partners that maintain strong data handling practices.

**Analytics**
We may use third-party analytics tools to collect anonymous usage data. These tools do not have access to your photos, identification results, chat messages, or any personally identifiable information.

**Your Data Control**

**Complete Control**
You have full control over all your data. You can delete any stamp identification, chat conversation, or photo from within Stamp Identifier: Stamps at any time. Deleting data from the app removes it from your device. You can also delete the app entirely to remove all locally stored data.

**iCloud Sync**
If iCloud is enabled on your device, your stamp collection and identification history may sync across your Apple devices through your personal iCloud account. You can disable iCloud sync for Stamp Identifier: Stamps in your device's iCloud settings at any time. Disabling sync does not delete data already on your device.

**Data Portability**
You can share your stamp identification results and collection data from within the app. This allows you to export information for your own records or share findings with fellow collectors or professional appraisers.

**Data Security**

The security of your data depends on the security of your device and your iCloud account. We recommend using a device passcode or biometric lock and a strong, unique password for your Apple ID. Stamp Identifier: Stamps does not have access to your device passcode or Apple ID credentials.

**Changes to This Privacy Policy**

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of Stamp Identifier: Stamps after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
