The app provides estimated composition, rarity, and value information, offers an AI chat feature for follow-up questions about your finds, and lets you save a personal photo history of everything you identify.

**Use of Service**

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use RockLens for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

*Acceptable Use*
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of RockLens or any third party.
- Upload or submit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content.
- Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality or servers.
- Use the app for unauthorized commercial purposes.

**AI-Generated Information**

*Estimates and Analysis*
All identification results, value estimates, rarity information, and chat responses provided by RockLens are generated by artificial intelligence and are for informational and educational purposes only.

*Not Professional Advice*
RockLens does not provide professional geological, appraisal, or financial advice. Results should not be relied upon for insurance claims, financial decisions, buying or selling transactions, or any other purpose requiring professional certification.

*Accuracy Disclaimer*
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any identification, valuation, or information provided by the app.

*Consult Professionals*
For official valuations, authentication, or geological analysis, consult a qualified geologist, gemologist, or professional appraiser.

**User Content**

*Your Photos/Data*
You retain all rights to the photos and content you submit. By using RockLens, you grant us a temporary, limited permission to process your photos and messages solely to generate identification results and chat responses.

*Storage*
Your photos, results, and chat history are stored on your device and, if enabled, in your personal iCloud account.

*Face Data (Clarification)*
RockLens does not intentionally collect, process, or store any facial recognition or biometric data. The service is designed solely for identifying rocks, crystals, minerals, fossils, and gemstones from user-submitted images.
Users may submit images that incidentally contain human faces. In such cases, images are processed only for the purpose of identifying rocks, crystals, minerals, fossils, and gemstones. No facial recognition or biometric analysis is performed, and no face data is extracted or used.
Images may be transmitted to third-party AI services for processing. This processing is temporary and solely for generating identification results. RockLens does not retain or store face data.

**Intellectual Property**

RockLens, including its design, features, and content, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Subscriptions and other purchases within RockLens are processed through the Apple App Store.
